Accessibility Statement

Please note: this is a general template provided in good faith. Clifford Building Contractors should seek independent professional advice to finalise this statement for its specific circumstances.

Our commitment

Clifford Building Contractors is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the site.

Accessibility features

We have built the following features into this website to support accessibility:

  • Keyboard navigation

All interactive elements — menus, links, buttons and forms — can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone, with clear, visible focus states.

  • Semantic HTML

Pages use proper landmarks, headings and structure so assistive technologies such as screen readers can understand and navigate the content.

  • Descriptive alt text

Images and project photographs include meaningful alternative text so their purpose is conveyed to people who cannot see them.

  • Sufficient colour contrast

Text and key interface elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, keeping content readable for low-vision users.

  • Reduced-motion support

Animations respect the operating system 'reduce motion' preference, so users who prefer less movement are not shown unnecessary animation.

  • Responsive, scalable layout

The site adapts to different screen sizes and supports text resizing and zoom without loss of content or functionality.

Known limitations

We work hard to make every part of the site accessible, but some content may not yet be fully optimised. If you come across anything that is difficult to use, please let us know so we can put it right.
